The Reason I QUIT Selling Logos

BREAKING NEWS, I QUIT!

I know what you're thinking "NOOO NOT MY FAVORITE GRAPHIC DESIGNER, NOOOO! I PLANNED ON BOOKING YOU FOR MY NEW BUSINESS THIS SUMMER!"

Okay okay let's settle down, I haven't actually quit. We can still work together - My books are very very open :) BUT, I have quit selling logos, here's why: You see, for years, my business was all about designing logos for brands. I loved the challenge of capturing a brand's essence in a single image. But over time I began to notice a pattern: I'd pour my heart and soul into crafting the perfect logos for a client, only to see it used incorrectly. Or to see my client go forward with their brand in all types of different directions, not creating any type of consistency. I hated seeing them use all types of colors and fonts, posts that don't reflect the logo at all. Although I always provided brand boards, something still wasn't sticking.

It was frustrating, to say the least. I realized that many new business owners simply didn't understand the importance of a cohesive brand identity.

That's when it hit: THAT'S ON ME!!

I'M the expert. They are coming to ME for help. I AM THE BRAND DESIGNER. Or so I thought!! I was actually just a graphic designer, and there's a huge difference between that and a brand designer. I had to make some changes.

I needed to do more than just provide a logo and brand board. I wanted to offer my clients everything they needed to build a successful brand from the ground up. And thus, we have brand identity packages, that include sooo much more than simply consultation forms and designs.

These packages go beyond just a logo. Sure, you'll still get the logo that perfectly represents your brand, but you'll also get so much more.

Think of it as a comprehensive toolkit for brand building.

My brand identity packages include learning and coaching resources. I want my clients to understand the principles of branding and how to apply them effectively to their business. That's why each package comes with access to ebooks, guides, and personalized coaching sessions.

But that's not all. I also expanded the brand board to include style guidelines, color story and brand patterns in every package. Why? Because consistency is key when it comes to branding. By providing clients with a curated color palette and custom patterns, I ensure that their brand remains cohesive across all touchpoints. I took away any chance for clients to take their brand in other directions. I've seen all the difference that it's made too, and so have they!

So why the switch? It all comes down to one simple truth:

I want to see my clients succeed!

- and I've learned in the past years that it takes more than just a logo to make that happen. It takes a comprehensive approach to branding—one that educates, empowers, and equips business owners for success.

So if you're tired of feeling like your brand is just another logo in a sea of logos, maybe it's time to consider a different approach. Invest in a brand identity package that offers more than just a pretty picture. Invest in your brand's future.

Ready to take the next step? Let's chat about how my brand identity packages can help you build a brand that stands out from the crowd. Trust me, your brand's future will thank you.

Until next time,
